Live-Action Adaptation Of 'Fullmetal Alchemist' To Stream On Netflix

Netflix is officially bringing us the live-action adaptation of ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’! The early trailers for the film have looked great, but we all know that live takes on anime have been met with mixed responses over the years. However, past the trailer, the movie has been mostly well-received in Japan which helps give it the benefit of the doubt. The movie is set to be a Netflix Original title and fans who have been waiting to check it only have to get to February 19th, 2018, before the streaming service adds it to its catalog. Last year Anime NYC hosted the film on the big screen after the Tokyo International Film Festival but for those of us who didn’t have a chance to see it, now we finally can! At this time, there are no announcements which have been made that we’ll see this get a limited or wide-release in theaters. The anime and manga are pure inspirations here, and we’ll see the film based off of the source material initially created by Hiromu Arakawa.
